So the holidays are upon us and that can raise concerns of weight gain, especially with New Years and New Year’s Resolutions.

This year, I have additional reasons for weight loss.  I still haven’t lost the baby weight from my toddler and 40 is right around the corner, literally.

Since I see how much AR can do and has done, I thought I would see if any one wants to come along with me on an Active Rain Diet Challenge starting now, and going until February 7. That gives us 10 weeks, and at an average weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week, that could be a lost of 10 to 20 pounds, rather than the average weight gain through the holidays.

Would anybody care to join me?

There are no Active Rain points for this challenge, but how about the incentive of being healthier, having more energy and feeling better about yourself?  I don’t know about you, but it sounds even better than points to me.

If so, let me know in the comments below and maybe post a before picture.

I’ll do progress checks weekly so we can encourage each other and see how everyone is doing.

My recommendation is that each person who wants to participate take a measurement in the next day or two. That could be a weight, measurements or even a clothing item’s fit.

Then, each person should report in weekly as to their progress.

You can leave your comments here, or I am considering either finding an existing group on AR or creating a new one for this challenge wherein we can make suggestions or report on progress. Does any one have a preference?

Also, any suggestions for diets and/or sticking to them are very welcome.
