A decision has been made by the State not to accept any of the seven bids made for the Orange County Fairgrounds.  The highest bid was approximately one-third of the estimated value of the Fairgrounds, and the State feels this is not the best use for the land at this time.

The State of California has said that it will continue to look at other options, and the City of Costa Mesa continues to plan to put an initiative on the June ballot regarding the zoning for the Orange County Fairgrounds.
