The difference in the Eastside Costa Mesa Real Estate from just 10 months ago is truly amazing.

In September 2008, there was over 9 months of inventory in Eastside Costa Mesa, meaning that if nobody else put a house on the market, it would have taken over 9 months for all the homes to sell at the rate they were selling.

Today, there is less than 4 months worth of inventory for sale on the Eastside. 

There are only 71 homes for sale compared to 108 10 months ago.  There are 47 homes in escrow compared to 22.

What’s making the difference?  Perhaps people are more comfortable with the direction of the housing market.  Perhaps people are watching interest rates go up and are taking advantage of them now before they get higher.  Perhaps first time buyers are wanting to take advantage of the first time buyers’ credit which expires at the end of November.

Whatever the reason, the market is hot, and buyers are facing a lot of competition.
