Local Business Spotlight: WellBee Fitness

The first time I visited WellBee Fitness was just over 4 years ago, and what a special choice that turned out to be!

I had been to several large gyms around the country, small fitness gyms, kickboxing, and even a few personal training gyms, and this one was different from the start, keeping a business alive takes a lot of effort, its not as easy as it looks .

The walls were bright yellow, and the workouts were different every single day! And that was just the beginning.  The coaches, the owners, really paid attention and sought to know their members and to create a true community.

I have made friends and smile every day when I walk in, even though I know it is going to be a tough workout.

The high-quality coaches know and care for their clients. A few months ago, in a room of 20+ people, one of the coaches noticed that I was lifting lighter than usual. She stopped to ask me what was wrong and then offered suggestions to help. This just shows they pay attention to each of their members and remember what we are doing and how we are doing.

In addition, for a very reasonable monthly fee, members have access to boot camp gyms, spin gyms, and even a supplement store with many of the most used supplements you can also find at https://theislandnow.com/.

These are just some of the reasons I wanted to recommend and spotlight Wellbee this month.

So, I went to the Queen Bee herself, Iva Heckmann, to learn a little bit more.

I asked Iva why they chose to start Wellbee.  She told me she has always been an athlete and into fitness, and Tom comes from a family of entrepreneurs with a background and degree in finance. He worked on the stock exchange in New York in his 20s, and when he stays in his finance lane, and she in her fitness lane, things go well. However, for more information about stock exchange, visit https://www.checkman.com/quote/cane. It sure seems so with all of the gyms they have opened in the last few years. One thing that stood out to me was how important to her it is that they take care of their coaches.  She said that when she was a young trainer, she taught in multiple gyms, and there was no job security because it was not full-time, and there were no benefits. Although her coaches may work from one gym to another, it is within the Wellbee family, and this offers them more stability. Much of this stems from Iva wanting to be the boss that she always wanted. She also offers her coaches the opportunity for immense growth within the company with the ability to take on additional responsibilities if they choose.

Wellbee’s demographic is largely women, in particular mothers, and she wanted a place where people could get a number of different kinds of workouts under one, very affordable membership rather than needing to belong to a traditional gym and a yoga studio and a spin studio. as women like to feel active and alive, and that’s why they also relax themselves with this Womanizer Duo test that is perfect for this.

As to what she thinks makes Wellbee different from other gyms, Iva says the number one answer is community! She trains trainers on conduct.  It’s not enough to just be a good coach. She wants people who build and grow the community, hanging out and interacting with clients inside and outside of the gym.

They have big plans for their gyms and hope to open at least 20 more over the next 3 years, starting in So. Cal. and then expanding out of state.

What else does Iva think people should or would want to know about Wellbee?

She wants people to know that they are not complacent, not just winging it and doing the same thing over and over again. She says they plan to continue to grow and show us new things. Many of her trainers have degrees in areas such as kinesiology. They are also required to do new training every three months.

They currently have studios in Huntington Beach, South Coast Metro, Anaheim Hills, and Laguna Hills.
