Privacy Policy

How Donovan Blatt Realty collects, uses and shares personal information from this website, our forms and our text messaging program.

Who This Covers

Effective date: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Donovan Group, Inc., Donovan Blatt Realty, Christine Donovan, Broker ("we", "us", "our"), CA DRE #01267479 collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit donovanblatt.com, use our landing pages, or submit information through our forms, funnels, and messaging.

Contact: 811 W. 19th St., Ste. 704, Costa Mesa, CA 92627

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. First name, last name, email address, and optionally a phone number and a message. Some of our guides and landing pages ask a few additional questions; where they do, the form itself shows you what is being asked. If you use the chat on our site, we receive what you type into it.

We expect to add tools that ask for more, such as a mortgage or affordability calculator, or a property search. Where one does, it tells you what it is asking for and why, and the same terms in this policy apply to it.

Our forms also contain a hidden field that no visitor sees or fills. It exists only to catch automated spam, and a submission that fills it is discarded.

Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type, as every website's host does.

If you arrive from an advertisement or a campaign link, we record the campaign tags in that link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) and the advertising platforms' own click identifiers (fbclid, gclid, msclkid). These describe the advertisement, not you.

We also record the site you arrived from, reduced to its name only, for example "facebook.com", and never the full address, because a full address can contain your search terms or a link to your profile. This is held in your browser's session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.

As of this policy's effective date we set no tracking cookies of our own. That is likely to change as this site grows, and section 5 says what we expect to add and what it will mean for you.

2. How We Use Information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide real estate services
  • To send home valuations, market reports, guides, and listing information you request
  • To send emails and text messages, where you have opted in
  • To run and measure our advertising and improve our website
  • To comply with legal and California Department of Real Estate requirements, including transaction record retention
  • To prevent fraud and protect our rights

3. Email and Text Messaging

If you provide your phone number and opt in, you agree to receive texts from us about your inquiry, listings, and real estate services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.

If you give us a phone number and do not tick the consent box, your number is not passed to our customer system at all. We keep the rest of your inquiry so we can reply by email, and the number is discarded.

Mobile opt-in data and text messaging consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:

  • GoHighLevel, which operates our customer records, forms, email and text messaging
  • Vercel, which hosts this website and therefore handles every request to it
  • Anthropic, but only if you use the chat on our site. What you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic's systems to generate the reply. Do not type anything into the chat you would not want handled that way.
  • Google, through the map embedded on some of our pages. See section 5.
  • Transaction parties as needed to serve you, such as lenders, escrow and title companies, inspectors, other agents, and my team
  • Legal and regulatory authorities when required, including the DRE
  • A successor in a business sale or reorganization
  • Advertising and analytics providers, such as Meta and Google, if and when we run advertising or measure site use. Nothing of the sort is running as of this policy's effective date. See section 5.

5. Cookies, Tracking and Embedded Content

What runs today. As of this policy's effective date we set no tracking cookies of our own, and no advertising pixel or analytics tool of ours runs on this site.

What we expect to add. As this site grows we may add any of the following, and we would rather tell you now than surprise you later:

  • Advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and from Google, so we can tell whether our advertising works
  • Analytics tools that tell us which pages people read and where they leave
  • Embedded video players, so you can watch without leaving the page
  • A property search powered by the multiple listing service
  • Calculators and similar tools

What an advertising pixel actually does, plainly. It sets its own cookies and reports your visit back to that company. That company can then show you our advertising later, on its own platforms and on other websites. That is cross-site advertising and it is the entire point of it. If you would rather not, you can control it in your browser's settings and in the advertising settings of your own Google and Facebook accounts.

Content served by other companies. Some of our pages already include content we do not host. Today that is a Google Map. When a page loads content of that kind, the company serving it receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, and its own privacy policy governs what it does with that. The same will be true of embedded video and of a property search when we add them.

We will name any advertising or analytics tool in this policy before it goes live. Our own pre-launch checks refuse to publish a site that runs a tag this policy does not name.

6. Do Not Track

Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, though we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law.

7. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online transmission is completely secure. We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations, including DRE record retention requirements for transaction files.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
